I’ve heard people say that going to therapy is like eating your vegetables, which is true in many ways: it’s good for you, it gives you nourishment to take care of yourself, and it can be a bit of a challenge to actually do it, even when you need it. That’s why it is extremely important to my practice to create a safe, welcoming, non-judgmental environment that makes coming to therapy feel a little bit easier. My work is largely based in ACT, REBT, and CFT, which are approaches geared toward highlighting your strengths and providing tools that you can turn to when you need them.
As a queer non-binary therapist, I deeply value working with clients of all backgrounds via anti-imperialist, anti-oppressive approaches to healing. Whether you’re struggling with substance use, a major life change, maintaining daily functioning, or just the general state of the world, it is my job to help you take the reins of your life and start making fulfilling, authentic choices based on your values.
